Vinyl Groove was formed in 2011 by Steven Virgilio “Virgil”

Virgil’s dream was to bring back to Boston the happiest of the MOWTOWN SOUND and dancing from DISCOS BEST which had been gone for so long. From day one Vinyl Groove was an instant success, making the connection to the souls of a generation becoming the Number # 1 DISCO and MOTOWN band in the Boston area.

Boston radio, WMEX 1510 AM, seized the opportunity to air Steven Virgilio and the Vinyl Groove show, transmitting twice a week, which also became very, very successful. Soon after Vinyl Groove became the opening act for national artist such as, Tavares, Trammps, Stylistics, Spinners,

Harold Melvin’s Blue Notes, Isley Brothers, Evelyn Champagne King, Jody Watley, War, Expose, France Joli, Bonnie Pointer, Members of Chicago, Shannon, All for One, First Choice, Deney Terrio, and The Shirelles to just name but a few.

In only 11 years Steven Virgilio “Virgil” Solo Performances and Performances with Vinyl Groove

have totaled over 2,200 shows from Boston to Fort Lauderdale.

His fan base gets bigger and the shows get larger.
