Peter Makris Memorial Run

The Peter Makris Memorial Run is the official kickoff to Laconia Motorcycle Week. Although we’ll spend a lot of time cruising around, we also have a reason to ride. Peter Makris was an essential leader of the NH Lakes Region and was a proud military veteran who cherished the camaraderie he shared with his fellow Marines. Anyone who met him would tell you about his glowing smile that touched many people. The Annual Peter Makris Memorial run raises money for the Laconia Fire Department and the Easter Seals NH “Veterans Count” Program.

Ellacoya State Park

Located in neighboring Gilford, enjoy a relaxing day on Ellacoya State Park’s 600-foot long sandy beach. Bring your camera to capture the views of the Ossipee and Sandwich mountains. There is an admission fee to enter the park, and you will need to reserve a parking pass.

Wellington State Park

Wellington State Park is the perfect place to cool off during a New Hampshire summer with the largest freshwater swimming beach in the state park system. Hike along the trail to Goose Pond, Bear Mountain, Mount Cardigan, Sugarloaf, and Welton Falls.

Cardigan Mountain State Park

Currently, in its 95th year, this annual, week-long event has been drawing crowds, and we’re so pleased to say that we’re the Official Hotel for the Laconia Motorcycle Week! With the main events located at the Weirs, it’s in walking and biking distance from our Resort so that you won’t miss any of the fun!

With much to do, kick off the Motorcycle week with our 12th annual Peter Makris Memorial Ride on June 9th, while on June 14th join us for the NazKini Bikini Contest right at The NazBar!
